About the RoleAudit Supervisor role based out of Houston, TX. Work with an integrated team of seasoned CPAs and industry leaders. Lead all aspects of audit engagements from planning to completion, supervising staff and building client relationships.ResponsibilitiesLead the engagement team staff on the planning and execution of an audit, review, or compilation engagement to provide world‑class client service.Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the audit engagement, including staffing, planning, risk assessment, fieldwork, financial reporting, and conclusion.Provide supervision and support to engagement staff, seniors, and supervisors, and promote open communication to the engagement partner.Collaborate with engagement team seniors or supervisors and partners on client issue resolution and make recommendations for legal, regulatory, and accounting issues that arise during the engagement.Manage multiple engagements concurrently with various teams to efficiently meet client deadlines.Create and track engagement budgets, review for inefficiencies, and conduct constructive discussions with team members on their evaluations and provide counsel accordingly.Serve in professional development programs as an instructor or discussion leader.QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Accounting.CPA license, or working toward CPA certification with parts passed.At least 3 years of public accounting experience, with experience leading multiple engagements and supervising staff.Excellent analytical, technical, and auditing skills including familiarity with US GAAP.Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships.Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing projects.Strong leadership, training, and mentoring skills, coupled with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills to represent the firm well to client management.Excellent analytical, organizational, project management skills, strong attention to detail, and proven innovative problem‑solving skills.Ability to travel as needed.WithumSmith+Brown, PC is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate against otherwise qualified applicants on the basis of race, color, creed, religion, ancestry, age, sex, pregnancy, genetic information, marital status, domestic partnership status, familial status, sexual orientation, gender identity, citizenship status, national origin, disability or handicap, veteran status, weight, height, or any other classification protected by federal, state, or local law.#J-18808-Ljbffr
