Job Description

AUTO BODY PAINTER

MAKE THE REPAIR DISAPPEAR.

Bow, NH$30–$41/Hour, Based on ExperienceFull-Time | Benefits EligibleCars • Trucks • Trailers • Heavy EquipmentHIRING NOW

ANYONE CAN SEE THE DAMAGE.

YOUR JOB IS TO MAKE SURE THEY CAN’T SEE THE REPAIR.

Straight panels are only half the job.

The final finish is what everyone sees.

The color has to match.

The blend has to disappear.

The clear has to lay down right.

And when that vehicle rolls out of the shop...

THE REPAIR SHOULD LOOK LIKE IT NEVER HAPPENED.

We’re looking for an experienced Auto Body Painter to join our collision and body repair team in Bow, New Hampshire.

This is a hands-on refinishing position working on everything from everyday vehicles to commercial trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment.

If you take pride in color matching, prep, blending, spraying, and delivering a finish you’d put your name on...

WE WANT TO SEE YOUR WORK.

EXPERIENCE MATTERS HERE.

AND YOUR PAY SHOULD REFLECT IT.

$30–$41/HOUR

BASED ON EXPERIENCE & SKILL

We’re looking for someone who knows the difference between a paint job that’s simply “done”...

AND ONE THAT’S DONE RIGHT.

If you can prep properly, match difficult colors, blend cleanly, lay down consistent finishes, and produce quality work across different types of vehicles and equipment...

THAT SKILL HAS VALUE.

YOUR MISSION:

PREP IT RIGHT.

MATCH IT RIGHT.

SPRAY IT RIGHT.

MAKE IT LOOK FACTORY.

The painter is one of the last people to touch the repair.

That means your work is what the customer sees.

A beautiful body repair can be ruined by bad prep.

A perfect panel can be ruined by a bad color match.

A great repair can be ruined by a rushed finish.

DETAILS MATTER.

We’re looking for a painter who understands that quality starts before the spray gun ever comes out.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Prepare vehicle and equipment surfaces for refinishing, including sanding, masking, priming, filling, and final prep

Mix and match paint colors accurately using established color-matching systems and formulas

Apply primer, base coat, and clear coat using professional spray equipment

Perform complete painting and refinishing work on:

Cars & Light-Duty Vehicles

Commercial Trucks

Trailers

Heavy Equipment

Blend panels and adjacent surfaces for a clean, consistent finish

Inspect completed work for color accuracy, coverage, texture, blending, and overall finish quality

Identify imperfections and make corrections when necessary

Operate and maintain paint booths, spray guns, mixing equipment, and refinishing tools

Follow proper flash times, application procedures, and product specifications

Work closely with Body Shop Technicians, Estimators, and Shop Management to keep repairs moving

Maintain accurate records of materials used and time spent on each job

Keep the paint booth, mixing area, and workspaces clean, organized, and safe

Properly store, label, handle, and dispose of paints, solvents, and related materials

Follow all applicable company safety procedures and OSHA/EPA requirements

GREAT PAINT STARTS BEFORE YOU SPRAY.

PREP IS EVERYTHING.

The final coat can only be as good as the surface underneath it.

That means:

Proper sanding

Clean masking

Correct primer application

Proper filler work

Surface inspection

Contamination control

Correct paint mixing

Careful color matching

Proper gun setup

THEN YOU SPRAY.

We want someone who understands the entire refinishing process — not just the last 20 minutes of it.

COLOR MATCHING IS A SKILL.

WE’RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO HAS IT.

Paint code?

That’s the starting point.

The vehicle in front of you is what matters.

Age.

Sun exposure.

Previous repairs.

Panel orientation.

Metallics.

Pearls.

Variants.

THEY ALL MATTER.

A skilled painter knows when the formula needs adjustment and how to create a blend that makes the repair disappear.

CLOSE ENOUGH ISN’T THE GOAL.

THE GOAL IS:

“WHERE WAS IT REPAIRED?”

NOT EVERYTHING FITS IN THE “CAR” CATEGORY.

One of the things that makes this opportunity different is the variety.

You won’t necessarily spend every day spraying the same type of quarter panel or bumper.

Our work can include:

Passenger vehicles

Light-duty trucks

Commercial vehicles

Heavy-duty trucks

️ Trailers

️ Heavy equipment

That means different sizes.

Different surfaces.

Different repair challenges.

Different finishes.

If you like variety and know how to adapt your process to the equipment in front of you, you’ll fit right in.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

YOU SHOULD BRING:

Proven experience as an Auto Body Painter / Refinish Technician

Strong hands-on automotive painting and refinishing skills

Experience with surface preparation, sanding, masking, priming, and filling

Strong knowledge of paint mixing and color-matching systems

Experience with blending techniques

Confidence using spray guns and professional refinishing equipment

Experience operating in a professional paint-booth environment

Strong understanding of primer, base coat, and clear coat application

Ability to read and interpret paint codes and repair work orders

Excellent attention to detail

Commitment to producing high-quality finished work

Understanding of safe paint, solvent, and hazardous-material handling

Ability to properly use required PPE and respiratory protection

EVEN BETTER IF YOU HAVE:

Commercial Truck Painting Experience

Heavy Equipment Refinishing Experience

Trailer Painting Experience

Advanced Color-Matching Experience

Advanced Blending & Finish Correction Skills

Additional Auto Body / Collision Repair Skills

ASE Painting & Refinishing Certification

Valid Driver’s License

Commercial truck and heavy-equipment experience is especially valuable because we don’t just paint cars.

️ PROFESSIONAL PAINTING MEANS PROFESSIONAL SAFETY.

Paint and refinishing products demand respect.

We expect our painters to follow proper procedures involving:

Respirators

Eye Protection

Protective Clothing

Ventilation Systems

Paints & Solvents

Hazardous Materials

Proper Storage & Disposal

You’ll be expected to follow applicable company procedures and OSHA and EPA requirements related to paint, solvents, fumes, and hazardous-material handling.

GREAT WORK SHOULD NEVER COME AT THE EXPENSE OF SAFETY.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This is a hands-on trade.

You should be comfortable:

Standing for extended periods

Bending, kneeling, and reaching

Working around vehicles and large equipment

Lifting and moving up to 50 lbs. as needed

Working inside a paint-booth environment

Wearing required respiratory protection for extended periods

Performing precise spray and detail work requiring good manual dexterity

YOUR NAME ISN’T ON THE REPAIR ORDER.

BUT YOUR REPUTATION IS ON THE FINISH.

Before a completed vehicle leaves the shop, ask yourself:

IS THE COLOR RIGHT?

IS THE BLEND CLEAN?

IS THE FINISH CONSISTENT?

IS THE CLEAR RIGHT?

WOULD I PUT MY NAME ON THIS?

If the answer is yes...

THAT’S THE KIND OF PAINTER WE WANT.

BUILD MORE THAN A PAINT JOB.

BUILD YOUR REPUTATION.

We want skilled people who take pride in their craft and want somewhere they can continue developing it.

There’s room here to sharpen your skills, take on more challenging work, become a go-to person in the shop, and grow as the operation grows.

PREP IT.

MIX IT.

SPRAY IT.

MAKE IT DISAPPEAR.

We’re looking for a painter who sees the details other people miss.

Someone who knows that “pretty close” isn’t a color match.

Someone who takes pride in watching a repaired vehicle roll out of the booth looking like the damage never happened.

IF THAT’S HOW YOU WORK...

WE WANT TO TALK.

APPLY TODAY.

BRING YOUR SKILL. BRING YOUR EYE. BRING YOUR CRAFT.
