Position Overview:
As a Travel RN specializing in Medical/Surgical units, you will be a vital part of our patient care team, delivering safe, efficient, and compassionate care to diverse patient populations. Working night shifts from 7PM to 7AM, you will ensure high standards of quality and safety, adapting to various unit needs through floating assignments as required. Your expertise will directly impact patient outcomes, while you benefit from a supportive team and competitive hourly pay.
Required Skills:
Valid New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license
BLS Certification
At least 2 years of recent Medical/Surgical nursing experience
Strong clinical knowledge relevant to adult and geriatric patient populations
Excellent communication skills, clear and concise in patient interactions
Ability to handle emergency and crisis situations professionally
Knowledge of EPIC EMR system
Physical ability to perform patient transfers, handle equipment, and stay on feet for extended periods
Nice to Have Skills:
Previous experience floating across different units
Additional certifications such as ACLS or PALS
Familiarity with other EMR systems
Bilingual abilities for broader patient interaction
Preferred Education and Experience:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
2+ years of recent RN experience in a hospital Medical/Surgical setting
Other Requirements:
Current RN license in New Mexico or a valid Compact license
BLS Certification
Ability to work every other weekend including Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
No on-call requirements
Willingness to float as needed
Shift: Night shift, 7PM to 7AM
Hourly Pay Rate: $54.94
