What You’ll Do

• Provide patient care on a Medical/Surgical unit for diverse patient populations
• Obtain and document initial assessments; prioritize based on patient needs
• Re-assess patients regularly, identify trends, and modify the plan of care accordingly
• Develop and implement individualized patient care plans within standards
• Perform components of Point of Care testing and assist with discharge planning
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
• Delegate and coordinate unit activities to ensure smooth workflow
• Adhere to hospital policies, safety protocols, and documentation standards
• Collaborate with team members to support a positive, patient-centered environment

What You Need

• Current RN license in New Mexico or a compact state
• BLS certification from AHA
• Experience in Medical/Surgical nursing preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and cultural sensitivity
• Ability to float across all Med/Surg departments as needed
• Flexibility to work rotated weekends; on-call optional
