MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Automation AI Developer to join our team. This is a remote position. As an Automation AI Developer, you will design, develop, and deploy AI agents and intelligent workflows within the GenAI.mil platform to meet the evolving needs of the organization. This role requires technical expertise in agentic development, prompt engineering, and LLM integration to build high-performing automated solutions. The position is remote with the possibility of occasional client site travel.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Build, configure, and refine custom AI agents using GenAI.mil and associated enterprise tools.
• Design prompt templates, agentic workflows, and reasoning chains for process automation.
• Debug software components, model responses, and automation workflows.
• Conduct unit testing and provide demonstrations of completed work to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with developers, testers, process owners, and other team members to deliver robust solutions.
• Provide change logs and documentation necessary to adhere to product build and release guidelines.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, such as Process Design Documents and Solution Design Documents.
• Participate in and contribute to Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Engage directly with stakeholders and end-users to gather process requirements and provide product demonstrations.

Basic Qualifications:

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in software development with a focus on artificial intelligence, machine learning, or automated agent development.
• Demonstrated experience creating AI agents or custom LLM workflows within GenAI.mil or equivalent enterprise AI platforms.
• Organized and methodical approach to development and problem-solving. Experience working in Agile Scrum teams and applying Agile principles.
• Familiarity with software development pipelines for deployment.
• Strong technical skills with a demonstrated ability to design and build technical solutions using AI technologies.
• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and work effectively within large, cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with proficiency in MS Office tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Relevant certifications in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or Cloud Architectures.
• Experience with Python, REST API integrations, vector databases, and retrieval-augmented generation architectures.
• Security Plus certification.
• Resides in the San Antonio TX area
• Secret clearance.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
• The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

The projected compensation range for this position is $63,500.00-$105,900.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
