Automation Developer & Revenue Cycle Systems Analyst

Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Developer & Revenue Cycle Systems Analyst to support operational efficiency initiatives within our Revenue Cycle organization. This role will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing automated solutions that improve workflows, reduce manual effort, and support front-line operations. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in automation technologies, programming, and healthcare revenue cycle processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain automation solutions using Visual Basic (VB) scripting and related technologies.
• Create, modify, and support complex Microsoft Excel macros and VBA-based automation tools.
• Develop and maintain automations within Boston Workstation to improve operational performance and productivity.
• Review claim data and quality assure claim examples in Athena Health
• Utilize Python and coding to implement automation via web-based platforms & applications.
• Selenium experience preferred to automate web-based processes and interactions with websites and application interfaces.
• Experience with application programming interface (API).
• Troubleshoot automation issues, identify root causes, and implement sustainable solutions.
• Partner with revenue cycle leadership and operational teams to identify opportunities for workflow automation and process improvement.
• Provide technical support and exceptional customer service to call center representatives and other end users.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Support processes related to insurance overpayments and patient refund check processing.
• Manage and monitor file transfers using SFTP and related technologies.
• Work with systems and applications including Cognizant and other revenue cycle platforms to support operational initiatives.
• Maintain documentation for automation processes, workflows, and technical solutions.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies, data security standards, and healthcare regulations.

Required Qualifications

• Experience programming with Visual Basic/VBA scripting.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including creation and maintenance of macros and automated reporting tools.
• Experience using Boston Workstation to develop and support automated business processes.
• Python/Selenium for web automation and browser interaction.
• Experience working with Cognizant applications and processes.
• Experience managing SFTP file transfers and automated file movement processes.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare revenue cycle operations.
• Knowledge of insurance payment reconciliation, overpayment processing, and patient refund workflows.
• Experience supporting call center operations and customer service teams.
• Familiarity with process improvement methodologies and workflow optimization.
• Experience documenting technical processes and creating user guides.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$46,988.00 - $112,200.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
