Systems integrator specializing in the design and development of automated manufacturing and assembly systems seeks Automation Design Engineer.

Work with technology from indexing cam-driven assembly systems, to robotics and Vision, to multi axis gantry motion, to articulating arm robot application, to high speed continuous motion.

Shall: 

• Design custom automated production line equipment in support of clients� needs.

• Work alone and in teams.

• Complete conceptual design for Large assemblies and component parts; detailing mechanical equipment.

• Research and select specialty items for integration into equipment design.

• Perform required engineering calculations.

Required: 

• Technical Degree and 3+ years experience designing automated assembly systems or similar.

• Solid Modeling experience

• Knowledge of standard machine elements (bearings, gearboxes, timing belts, mechanical indexers, etc.)

• Knowledge and experience working with pneumatic and servo actuators.

• Familiarity with common electrical components (sensors, motors, etc.)
