5+ years of industrial automation experience, preferably in a steel mill, metals, or other heavy manufacturing environment.
Strong experience with PLC programming, troubleshooting, and controls systems, including Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens platforms.
Experience with VFDs, motors, drives, HMIs, instrumentation, sensors, and industrial control systems.
Ability to troubleshoot electrical and automation problems in production equipment and minimize unplanned downtime.
Experience supporting steel mill equipment and processes such as EAFs, LMFs, casters, rolling mills, material handling, or similar heavy industrial equipment.
Strong ability to work with maintenance, electrical, operations, and engineering teams on equipment upgrades, process improvements, and automation projects.
