Automation Engineer

Title: Automation Engineer (Hardware Testing)

Location: Sunnyvale, CA (On-site)

Note: We are looking for hardware testing candidates with expertise in python. Candidates should have testing experience on peripheral devices like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Camera, Audio, Sensors etc.

Look for consumer device/wearable device domain candidates.

Role Requirements:

• Expertise in Product development or Product validation cycle of consumer electronics products
• Responsible for coordinating team activities and taking the ownership of project execution
• Drive and execute validation to meet key deadlines and priority goals
• Clearly document test results. Keep track of bugs encountered and fixed
• Support system bring up and debug activities
• Clearly communicate test plans and results
• Should be experienced in leading team, delegating work, monitoring work progress, KPI tracking and Status Reporting to customer
• Candidate should have good presentation skills and be able to provide executive level status reporting as well as proficiency in using online project tracking tools.
• Should be ready to extend the responsibility in Hiring Process, Team Building, Careers & Training Development, Knowledge Management, Team Mentoring

Required Skills (Technical Competency):

• Highly skilled in embedded testing - Automation scripting and Manual testing.

• Working knowledge of Android CE devices

• Should have testing expertise with peripheral devices like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Camera, Audio, Sensors etc. and related testing tools

• Should be familiarized with core embedded system concepts like MCU, SoC, Memory etc.

• Should have knowledge of android tools and commands

• Expertise with Python and should be capable of doing shell/ batch scripting as required. Nice to have: C, Java.

• Working expertise with Python libraries like pandas, NumPy, OpenCV etc. Should be able to find and use new libraries as required.

• Should have knowledge of test automation frameworks and work experience in Android and iOS apps automation with Appium

• Should be capable to work on both MAC and Windows operating systems

• Good analytical and problem-solving skills

• Should be able to communicate effectively and positively

Qualification: Bachelors/Masters in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent practical industry experience.
