POSITION: Automation Supervisor
Company: A private equity-backed midstream operator based in Dallas, TX
Location: Hobbs, NM (live within about 60-90 minutes of Hobbs)
Schedule: Salaried, full-time, permanent. Supports the Hobbs facility and nearby sites - not a multi-state travel role. Staffing is planned to keep overtime reasonable. On-call rotation.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Lead and support automation, instrumentation, electrical and control systems across natural gas gathering, compressor stations and processing facilities. You'll supervise a friendly, capable team of automation technicians while staying hands-on as their technical go-to. The team is growing with planned facility expansions.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Supervise, train and direct automation technicians; set daily priorities and PM work
- Troubleshoot PLCs (Allen-Bradley and Client), ladder logic, instrumentation, electrical and communications
- Keep shutdown systems, transmitters, chromatographs, analyzers and measurement equipment calibrated and working
- Support installation, commissioning and startups; respond to alarms and equipment failures
- Read P&IDs, electrical drawings and loop drawings; keep documentation current
- Coordinate contractors and vendors; enforce safety including NFPA 70E

WHAT THEY'RE LOOKING FOR
- 5+ years hands-on automation or I&E technician experience
- 1+ year leading or supervising technicians
- Midstream oil and gas experience strongly preferred; New Mexico experience a plus
- Gas chromatographs, H2S/O2 analyzers, 120/240/480V systems, HART
- Stable work history and interest in a permanent role
