Position Overview
The PLC Maintenance Specialist is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and improving production equipment, PLCs, and industrial control systems to maximize uptime and ensure efficient manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and program PLCs, HMIs, motion controllers, and electrical control systems.
Configure and improve PLC programs using Siemens Step 7 and TIA Portal.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, technical drawings, and equipment manuals.
Perform preventive maintenance, analyze downtime, and implement corrective actions to improve equipment reliability.
Provide technical support to electricians and maintenance technicians.
Support equipment upgrades, capital projects, shutdowns, and weekend maintenance activities.
Monitor maintenance KPIs, document repairs, and communicate equipment issues and improvement opportunities.
Coordinate with equipment suppliers and contractors on repairs, installations, and modifications.
Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
