Automation & Test Equipment Reliability Technician

Join MAU in supporting a world-class automotive manufacturer in Greer, SC. As an Equipment Service expert on the night shift, you’ll be the steady hand behind equipment uptime—tuning, repairing, and improving complex manufacturing and test systems so new models launch smoothly and production stays on track.

What your night looks like

• Oversee equipment changes tied to process updates, new model introductions, and capacity expansions.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, repair, and modify automated manufacturing and test equipment to maximize uptime and reliability.
• Maintain and update process documentation to reflect modifications and best practices.
• Model and enforce safe work practices at all times.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to quickly resolve issues and drive continuous improvement.

• Based in Greer, SC

Minimum qualifications

• Associate Degree in a technical discipline and 2 years of experience in automation/PLC controls, mechanical and electronic systems; OR
• High school diploma/GED and 2 years technical experience PLUS 2 years of experience in automation/PLC controls, mechanical, and electronic systems (4 years total experience).
• Highly flexible; able to adjust quickly, work overtime and holidays as needed.
• Comfortable working in cross-functional teams.
• Must pass a hands-on electrical troubleshooting proficiency test working with live current.

Preferred experience (3+ years hands-on)

• Interfacing with various PLC programming languages (Siemens highly preferred).
• Maintaining and modifying electrical systems, including troubleshooting 24v to 480v.
• Maintaining and troubleshooting automated robotics systems.
• Maintaining and troubleshooting pneumatic systems.
• Troubleshooting and replacing Variable Frequency Drives.
• Reading and interpreting schematics: ladder logic, electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, fluid, etc.
