Denny Menholt Honda in Bozeman, Montana, is seeking an experiencedAutomotive Controllerto join our team as our current Controller prepares for retirement. As Controller, you will oversee our dealership's accounting operations, including financial reporting, cash management, internal controls, and supervision of the accounting team. You'll work closely with dealership and corporate management to maintain accurate financial records, ensure compliance, and support the dealership's continued success.

We're looking for an experienced Automotive Office Manageror CPA with strong leadership skills, excellent attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of dealership accounting, financial reporting, and procedures.

 Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash management
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements, management reports, and account reconciliations
• Supervise, train, and support accounting department personnel
• Maintain accurate financial records, general ledger accounts, and internal controls
• Review vehicle sales transactions, contracts, and receivables for accuracy and timely processing
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, manufacturer reporting standards, and applicable regulations
• Work with dealership and corporate management on financial reporting, accounting procedures, and operational matters

Qualifications:

• Previous Automotive Office Manager and/or CPA experience required
• Accounting degree required
• CPA designation preferred
• Strong knowledge of automotive dealership accounting, GAAP, and financial reporting
• Experience supervising dealership accounting personnel
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and accounting software
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and meet reporting deadlines
