    Finance Manager

    Lunghamer Buick GMC
    Location: Waterford, MI
    Department: Sales / Finance
    Reports To: General Sales Manager / General Manager
    Employment Type: Full-Time

    Position Summary

    Lunghamer Buick GMC is seeking an experienced, customer-focused Finance Manager to deliver an exceptional vehicle financing experience while maximizing dealership profitability. The Finance Manager will work closely with customers, lenders, and the sales team to secure financing solutions, present protection products, maintain regulatory compliance, and ensure every customer receives a transparent and professional purchasing experience.

    Essential Responsibilities

    • Present financing, leasing, and protection product options to customers.
    • Structure automotive finance transactions while maximizing profitability and customer satisfaction.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with banks, credit unions, and finance companies.
    • Secure lender approvals and negotiate competitive financing terms.
    • Prepare and process all required finance and title documentation accurately.
    • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, manufacturer, and dealership regulations.
    • Present menus professionally and explain all available products clearly.
    • Offer and sell:
      • Vehicle Service Contracts
      • GAP Protection
      • Tire & Wheel Protection
      • Maintenance Plans
      • Appearance Protection
      • Key Replacement Programs
      • Additional F&I products
    • Review contracts for accuracy before funding.
    • Work closely with sales consultants to provide a seamless customer delivery process.
    • Maintain CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index) goals.
    • Monitor lender programs, manufacturer incentives, and finance promotions.
    • Assist in training sales staff on finance procedures and compliance.
    • Maintain confidentiality of customer financial information.

    Qualifications

    Required

    • Minimum 2 years of Automotive Finance Manager experience.
    • Proven dealership F&I production.
    • Strong knowledge of indirect lending.
    • Experience with menu selling.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
    • Strong organizational abilities.
    • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced dealership environment.
    • Professional appearance and demeanor.
    • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

    Preferred

    • CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, or Automate experience.
    • Buick/GMC or General Motors dealership experience.
    • AFIP Certification.
    • Bachelor's degree (preferred but not required).
