Automania is looking for an experienced, dependable Automotive Technician / Mechanic to join our team.
We offer a 5-day work week, guaranteed hours, steady work, and overtime opportunities with an established automotive company that has been in business for more than 20 years.
We are looking for a technician who takes pride in their work, can accurately diagnose problems, and completes repairs correctly and efficiently.
Requirements
- Minimum 2–3 years of automotive repair experience
- Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical issues
- Knowledge of brakes, suspension, steering, cooling systems, A/C, and engine repairs
- Ability to perform routine maintenance and general vehicle repairs
- Ability to use professional diagnostic scanners and equipment
- Ability to diagnose check-engine lights and other vehicle warning lights
- Experience working on a variety of makes and models
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must have your own basic mechanic tools
- Reliable, responsible, and able to complete repairs in a timely manner
- Valid driver's license preferred
Preferred Experience
- Dealership or independent repair shop experience
- Experience with used vehicles and automotive reconditioning
- ASE certification is a plus, but not required
Job Duties
- Inspect vehicles and identify mechanical and electrical problems
- Perform accurate diagnostics and repairs
- Complete maintenance and reconditioning work on inventory vehicles
- Diagnose check-engine lights and other warning-light concerns
- Determine parts and labor required for repairs
- Communicate repair needs and findings with management
- Complete repairs accurately and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
