About This Job
As an Automotive Parts Stock Person, you play a critical role in keeping our service department running smoothly and efficiently. You manage the flow of automotive parts, ensuring our technicians have the right components at the right time. This position directly impacts our ability to deliver excellent service to our customers by maintaining an organized and well-stocked inventory. You are the backbone of our parts operations, contributing to seamless repairs and customer satisfaction.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Manages and tracks all parts inventory, ensuring accurate records and optimal stock levels.
Identifies correct automotive parts quickly and precisely for various vehicle makes and models, supporting service technicians.
Handles all aspects of shipping and receiving, including verifying incoming shipments against orders and preparing outgoing parts for delivery or return.
Maintains strict stock control by conducting regular cycle counts and inventory audits to prevent discrepancies and losses.
Processes parts orders from technicians and customers efficiently, ensuring timely fulfillment and accurate documentation.
Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail in all tasks, from part numbers to inventory counts, minimizing errors.
Ensures the warehouse organization remains orderly, clean, and safe, optimizing space and accessibility for all parts.
Performs material handling safely, using appropriate equipment to move and store heavy or bulky automotive components.
Executes precise data entry for all inventory movements, sales, and returns into our system.
Utilizes strong computer literacy to navigate inventory management software and other essential digital tools.
Required Qualifications
Education
Possesses a high school diploma or equivalent.
Experience
Holds prior experience in a warehouse, inventory, or retail environment.
Knowledge/Skills
Applies principles of Inventory Management to maintain accurate stock.
Demonstrates proficiency in Parts Identification for various automotive components.
Understands and executes Shipping & Receiving protocols.
Practices effective Stock Control methods to optimize inventory.
