    The Role

    As an Automotive Lube Technician at Knudtsen Chevrolet, you'll be an important part of delivering a first-class service experience for our customers. In this role, you'll perform routine maintenance services including oil and filter changes, tire rotations, lubrication services, and basic repairs while conducting comprehensive Multi-Point Vehicle Inspections to help identify additional maintenance and repair needs. You'll use modern tools, including TruVideo technology, to clearly communicate vehicle conditions and recommendations, helping customers make informed decisions about their vehicles. Working alongside a skilled team of technicians and advisors, you'll contribute to a fast-paced, customer-focused environment where quality workmanship, safety, efficiency, and professional growth are valued every day.

    What You'll Own

    • Perform oil changes, tire rotations, lubrication services, and other routine maintenance efficiently and accurately
    • Complete Multi-Point Vehicle Inspections (MPVIs) on every customer vehicle and identify maintenance or repair opportunities
    • Communicate vehicle needs and recommendations to Service Advisors to support exceptional customer service
    • Utilize TruVideo technology to create professional inspection videos and photos that clearly explain vehicle conditions and recommended services
    • Maintain a TruVideo completion rate of 85% or higher to support customer transparency and qualify for additional performance incentives
    • Verify warranty coverage and follow dealership and manufacturer service procedures
    • Return warranty cores and parts promptly and accurately
    • Maintain shop equipment, tools, and a clean, organized work environment
    • Adhere to all safety policies, processes, and quality standards
    • Support a positive, team-oriented service department culture and assist with additional duties as needed

    What We're Looking For

    • Team-oriented professional with a strong work ethic and customer-first mindset
    • Previous automotive service or dealership experience preferred
    • Ability to safely operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
    • Comfortable working in a fast-paced shop environment and performing physical tasks throughout the day
    • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and lift throughout the workday, including regularly lifting up to 50 pounds and occasionally lifting heavier components with assistance
    • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
    • Ability to pass a background check, motor vehicle report, and drug screening
    • Eagerness to learn, grow, and contribute to a high-performing service team
