Location: Houston, TX

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced AWS DevOps / Product Support Engineer for a contract opportunity in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with AWS, Terraform, and Kubernetes, along with a solid understanding of DevOps practices and production/product support.

This is a hybrid position, and candidates must be willing and able to work onsite in Houston starting Day 1.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain cloud-based applications and infrastructure in AWS.

  • Manage and provision infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.

  • Deploy, manage, troubleshoot, and support workloads running on Kubernetes.

  • Monitor production environments and troubleshoot application/infrastructure issues.

  • Perform root-cause analysis and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.

  • Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and product teams to support releases and production deployments.

  • Automate operational processes and improve system reliability and scalability.

  • Assist with incident management, problem resolution, and production support activities.

  • Follow DevOps best practices for CI/CD, automation, monitoring, and infrastructure management.

Required Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS.

  • Strong experience with Terraform.

  • Strong experience with Kubernetes.

  • Experience supporting applications and infrastructure in production environments.

  • Solid understanding of DevOps methodologies and practices.

  • Experience with troubleshooting, incident resolution, and root-cause analysis.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment with onsite presence from Day 1.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with CI/CD tools and pipelines.

  • Experience with AWS services such as EC2, EKS, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, and related services.

  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools.

  • Scripting/automation experience using Python, Shell, or similar technologies.
