AWS Golang Lead

Duration- Fulltime Permanent

Location: San Antonio, TX (Onsite From Day 1)

Job Description:

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills:

6+ years of software engineering experience, including hands-on development and technical leadership for cloud-native, distributed applications.

Strong proficiency in Golang, including concurrency, performance optimization, testing, and production-grade microservices development.

Hands-on experience with AWS services, including EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, DynamoDB, S3, IAM, and cloud security best practices.

Strong experience designing and implementing microservices, secure REST APIs, API contracts, and internal/external system integrations.

Experience building event-driven and real-time streaming solutions using Apache Kafka and Apache Flink.

Hands-on expertise with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS EKS for containerization, orchestration, deployment, and production support.

Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and automated CI/CD pipelines with Git-based workflows.

Working knowledge of Java and Spring Boot for developing or supporting services within a mixed-technology ecosystem.

Experience with monitoring, logging, troubleshooting, resiliency, scalability, performance tuning, and cloud cost optimization.

Good understanding of Agile delivery, user stories, acceptance criteria, sprint ceremonies, and collaboration with product / engineering teams.

Functional understanding of Banking, Payments, Financial services, or regulated enterprise delivery experience preferred.

Knowledge of security, governance, data protection, and regulatory controls applicable to Banking and Financial services platforms.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native brokerage and trading platform applications using AWS and Golang.

Build and support Apache Flink streaming pipelines for real-time market data, transaction processing, and analytics.

Develop and manage microservices deployed on AWS EKS (Kubernetes) and AWS Lambda.

Design and implement secure, scalable REST APIs and perform API integrations with internal and external brokerage systems.

Integrate with trading, account management, settlement, market data, and customer onboarding platforms.

Develop event-driven solutions using Kafka and other messaging technologies for real-time data processing.

Implement and maintain workflows using AWS Step Functions, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and S3.

Build Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform to automate cloud provisioning and deployments.

Containerize applications using Docker and manage deployments through Kubernetes/EKS.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define architecture, API contracts, and integration patterns.

Develop and support Java/Spring Boot-based services where required within the ecosystem.

Optimize application performance, scalability, reliability, and cloud costs.

Implement monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting practices for production environments.

Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, development, testing, and releases.

Follow DevOps best practices, CI/CD pipelines, version control, and code review processes using Git.

Ensure compliance with security, governance, and regulatory requirements applicable to brokerage and financial services platforms.
