AWS Certified Welder (Contract)
Position Title: AWS Certified Welder Location: Auburn Hills, MI → Holland, MI Duration: 1-Week Contract Start Date: Immediate / Project-Based
Position Overview
Seeking an experienced AWS Certified Welder to support a short-term industrial automation and manufacturing project.This position will begin in Auburn Hills, Michigan and conclude in Holland, Michigan over a one-week project duration.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in industrial, manufacturing, machine tool, or automation environments and be capable of producing high-quality welds while maintaining strict safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
Perform MIG and/or TIG welding on manufacturing and automation equipment components
Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings
Fabricate, fit, and weld structural steel and equipment assemblies
Verify weld quality and dimensional accuracy
Utilize grinders, cutting tools, and fabrication equipment as required
Support installation and modification activities during project execution
Maintain compliance with customer safety requirements and welding standards
Work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced industrial environment
Required Qualifications
Current AWS Welding Certification (Required)
Proven experience in industrial welding, fabrication, or manufacturing environments
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and weld drawings
Experience with MIG welding (TIG experience preferred)
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Ability to travel between Auburn Hills and Holland, Michigan during the project
Must possess basic hand tools and appropriate PPE
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting automation, machine tool, or automotive manufacturing projects
Previous experience working on-site at manufacturing facilities
Multi-process welding experience
Compensation
Competitive hourly rate based on experience
