Position: Azure Architect Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid) Duration: 12 months Rate: DOE
Strong Architecture and hands on knowledge of Azure Infrastructure including Networking, Compute, Storage and KeyVaults [Other Azure Services helpful]
Expert level knowledge of Azure Networking and Network Security (Virtual WAN, vNets, ExpressRoute, VPN, Cisco FTDv firewall, Network Security Groups)
Expert level understanding of Networking and IP routing (CIDR, subnetting, VLSM, BGP, EIGRP, MPLS)
Strong understanding of Azure Security (Entra ID, RBAC, Policies)
Experience with Azure Portal, ARM, Powershell and CLI
Experience in implementing Azure landing zones. Led cross-functional teams to define landing zone blueprints, including networking, identity, governance, and resource organization, aligning with industry standards and compliance requirements.
Experience in conducting architecture reviews and provide recommendations to optimize Azure landing zones for cost, performance, and security.
Experience in Azure Site Recovery (ASR) for disaster recovery solutions, ensuring high availability and business continuity during the migration process.
Migration to Microsoft Azure cloud platform, utilizing Azure App Service, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), and Azure SQL Database (optional)
