Azure Cloud Engineer

Location: Reston, Virginia (Onsite)

Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized DevSecOps Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in deploying, operating, and maintaining cloud development, staging, testing, and operational environments for critical national security missions. This position requires working onsite in Reston, VA.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, operate, and maintain secure Cloud products and services within an Azure-based environment.
• Manage and develop the continuous build and integration infrastructure.
• Provide source control management, create automated CI build processes, and write build and deploy scripts.
• Support the integration, operation, change management, and maintenance of CI/CD tools, including the automation of testing.
• Uphold policies, standards, and governance for CI/CD operations and developer workflows.
• Facilitate release management by moving code from development and testing to staging and production environments.
• Collaborate with software developers and other teams to automate and support infrastructure and tooling in cloud platforms.
• Provide guidance on agile and DevSecOps practices to streamline product delivery.
• Continuously identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements.

Required Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelors and nine (9) or more years of experience; or
• Masters and seven (7) or more years of experience; or
• PhD and four (4) or more years of experience.

Experience:

• Proven background in DevSecOps software development environments.
• Experience with agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.

Technical Skills:

• Azure (Kubernetes, Docker, GitLab).
• Agile collaboration tools (e.g., Atlassian Jira, Confluence).
• CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, Bitbucket, MS Azure).
• Containerization with Docker or Red Hat Podman.
• Container management with Kubernetes and Helm.
• Familiarity with Cloud - Platform One, Cross Domain Solutions, C-ATO, Multi-Level Security Networks, and security automation.
