Azure Integration Engineer

Doeren Mayhew is seeking a full-time Azure Integration Engineer, with Dallas, TX as a preferred location, to design and support enterprise integration solutions on Microsoft Azure. This role combines API-led, message-based, event-driven, workflow, and data integration using Azure services and modern .NET practices. The successful candidate brings 5+ years of experience translating business requirements into secure, resilient, observable, and maintainable solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Translate business, data, security, and performance requirements into integration designs, API contracts, message schemas, and implementation specifications.
• Build and operate solutions with Azure API Management, Logic Apps, Functions, Service Bus, Event Grid, Event Hubs, and Data Factory; use App Services, Container Apps, or AKS when appropriate.
• Apply enterprise integration and distributed-system patterns, including publish/subscribe, routing, transformation, orchestration, idempotency, retries, circuit breakers, dead-letter handling, transactional outbox, sagas, and eventual consistency.
• Implement API governance, versioning, schema evolution, backward compatibility, throttling, and caching. Secure solutions using Entra ID, OAuth 2.0/OIDC, JWT, managed identities, RBAC, Key Vault, and private connectivity.
• Automate infrastructure, testing, security controls, and deployments using Terraform Cloud/Enterprise, Bicep/ARM, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, PowerShell, Bash, and Azure CLI.
• Build observability and recovery with Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, KQL, tracing, alerts, replay, and reconciliation. Troubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis, and improve reliability and performance.
• Collaborate across architecture, application, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and data teams; lead technical reviews, mentor engineers, and maintain reusable components, design decisions, and support runbooks.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years designing, developing, implementing, and supporting enterprise integration solutions, with hands-on production experience using Microsoft Azure as the cloud platform for application development. AWS-only experience does not qualify.
• Proven experience building Azure integrations with API Management, Logic Apps, Functions, Service Bus, Event Grid, and Event Hubs; strong hands-on C#/.NET Core/Framework and ASP.NET Web API development skills, plus SQL Server/T-SQL and TypeScript.
• Expertise in REST, JSON, XML, OpenAPI, asynchronous messaging, event-driven architectures, secure SaaS/partner integrations, automated unit/integration/contract testing, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Knowledge of Azure networking, cloud architecture, Zero Trust, DevSecOps, and Azure Well-Architected principles; strong troubleshooting, documentation, collaboration, and communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure Developer Associate required.
