We are seeking a Backend Modernization Engineer III to design, develop, test, and support modern software solutions that address complex business needs. This role involves full lifecycle software engineering, application containerization, and modernization of application platforms using technologies such as Java, Spring Boot, Docker, and Kubernetes. The ideal candidate will collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to develop scalable, reusable solutions and establish best practices for application modernization.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure, test, release, and support software applications across various environments.

• Perform all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, solution design, coding, testing, and implementation.

• Develop backend applications and technical solutions to address complex business and analytical problems.

• Design and implement product features, reusable components, frameworks, and libraries in collaboration with business and IT stakeholders.

• Partner with strategic customers to containerize applications and modernize existing platforms.

• Establish and promote best practices for containerization and application modernization across diverse platforms.

• Automate development, build, testing, and deployment processes to improve efficiency and reliability.

• Develop and maintain solutions that support application scalability, performance, and maintainability.

Required Qualifications

• Technical degree or equivalent relevant work experience.

• Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring, and Spring Boot.

• Knowledge of application infrastructure and modern architectures, including Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices.

• Familiarity with Backbase APIs.

• Experience with software development, application testing, and implementation processes.

• Ability to analyze complex technical problems and develop effective software solutions.

• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work across business, IT, and customer-facing teams.
