Job Description
- A leading flexible packaging manufacturer is seeking an experienced Bag & Pouch Machine Operator to join their production team. This role is responsible for setting up, adjusting, and operating bag-making equipment used to convert plastic film into finished bags and pouches.
Responsibilities
- Set up, adjust, and operate bag and pouch converting machines
- Monitor machine performance to ensure proper sealing, cutting, and product quality
- Load film rolls and adjust machine settings based on production specifications
- Perform routine quality checks to ensure finished products meet company standards
- Troubleshoot mechanical or production issues and make adjustments as needed
- Maintain production efficiency while minimizing downtime and waste
- Perform basic preventative maintenance and keep equipment clean and organized
- Follow all safety procedures and production schedules
Qualifications
- Experience operating bag making, pouch making, or flexible packaging converting equipment
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to make machine adjustments
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Ability to stand for extended periods and handle production materials
- Preferred Experience
- Experience with Totani, Hudson-Sharp, CMD, W&H, or similar bag-making machines
- Background in flexible packaging or plastic film converting
$20 - $25 an hour
