About the Role:
Bagel Dock Cafe LLC in Calabash, NC is looking for an enthusiastic Baker Assistant to join our team! This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a warm, welcoming bakery environment where fresh food and great service come together every day. Responsibilities:

• Assist lead baker in daily bagel and baked goods production
• Measure, mix, and prepare dough and other baking ingredients according to recipes
• Operate and maintain baking equipment including ovens, mixers, and slicers
• Ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation standards are followed
• Monitor baking times and temperatures to ensure consistent product quality
• Assist with stocking and rotating ingredients and baked goods inventory
• Support front-of-house staff during peak hours as needed
• TIME 3 AM to 11AM

Requirements:

• Prior experience in a bakery, cafe, or food service environment preferred
• Basic knowledge of baking techniques and kitchen equipment
• Ability to work early morning shifts and weekends
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product consistency
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
• Food handler certification or willingness to obtain one
• Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
