As a Bakery Maintenance Technician, you will have a diverse set of responsibilities including installation, trouble shooting, repairs, preventative maintenance, and emergency repairs on donut processing equipment and factory needs.
Core Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair automated equipment such as, mixers, ovens, conveyors, proofers, slicers, and packing machines.
- Troubleshoot mechanical systems examples are gearboxes, bearings, belts, chains, hydraulics.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance.
- Install new machinery or production lines.
- Ensure compliance with Food Safety, Hygiene, and Safety Standards. (GMP, HACCP)
Required Skills & Knowledge:
- Industrial mechanic and machine maintenance
- Pneumatic and Hydraulic system
- Conveyor system and High Speed packing equipment
- Basic understanding of Automation and PLC-Controlled Machinery
- Must be able to read mechanical drawings and manuals
- Be able to multi-task and have strong troubleshooting skills and problem-solving skills
Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering/Industrial Maintenance
- Experience in Food Manufacturing or Automated Production Environment (preferred)
- Knowledge of Food-Grade Materials and Lubrications
- Willingness to work shifts and/or on-call
This is a fast-paced work environment with temperature variations with freezers and ovens. This is on an automated production floor. Strict hygiene and safety procedures are enforced and required to be maintained on a daily.
