YOUR OPPORTUNITY: BANKING INTERN

If you're interested in preparing for a professional career, not just a job, an internship with Security National Bank may be the right fit for you. In this role, you'll gain hands-on experience in a professional banking environment while building valuable skills in communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and project management. You'll work alongside experienced professionals, collaborate with teams across the organization, and learn how departments such as Retail Banking, Operations, Wealth Management, and others work together to support the Bank's success. As part of the program, you'll have the opportunity to take ownership of a project with strategic business impact, giving you meaningful experience while building a strong foundation for your future career in finance and banking.
 
WHAT YOU'LL DO: 
 
  • Support daily operations and assist with administrative tasks across assigned departments.
  • Learn and apply company policies, procedures, and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects and meet deadlines.
  • Participate in meetings, contribute ideas, and engage in team discussions.
  • Develop professional skills through hands-on learning and real-world experiences.
  • Communicate effectively with employees, customers, and business partners in person, by phone, and through written correspondence.
  • Represent the bank in a positive, courteous, professional, and service-oriented manner at all times.
  • Respond to inquiries, resolve issues, and follow up to ensure timely completion and customer satisfaction.
  • Demonstrate initiative by seeking opportunities to learn, grow, and contribute to department goals.
  • Conduct research, gather information, and apply independent thinking to support projects and business objectives.
 

WHAT MAKES YOU A GREAT FIT:

  • Currently enrolled in a four-year college or university pursuing a bachelor's degree, with an anticipated graduation date within the next 6-12 months.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience and an interest in finance through academics, extracurricular activities, employment, or volunteer work.
  • Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
  • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
  • Ability to follow direction, take ownership of assignments, and independently drive projects through completion.
  • Professional, respectful, and service-oriented approach to interactions with customers and colleagues.
