About the Role:
San Jose Country Club in Jacksonville, FL is looking for a talented Banquet Line Cook to join our culinary team! Responsibilities:
- Prepare and execute high-quality banquet meals for events of varying sizes and styles
- Follow standardized recipes and plating presentations to ensure consistency
- Set up, maintain, and break down banquet line stations efficiently
- Coordinate with banquet and kitchen staff to ensure timely food production and service
- Monitor food temperatures, freshness, and quality in accordance with food safety standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation at all times
- Assist with prep work including chopping, portioning, and mise en place
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a line cook, banquet cook, or in a high-volume kitchen setting
- Solid knowledge of cooking techniques, knife skills, and kitchen equipment
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced banquet environment
- Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling (ServSafe preferred)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills
