Banquet Wait Staff

Summary:
Assist in proper setup/take down/execution of banquets and events while maintaining optimal customer satisfaction. Adhere to company policies/standards and complete tasks as assigned. 

Responsibilities:
  • Assists in the proper set-up and take down of all catered events.
  • Sets buffet tables with food, beverage and service items according to company standards/BEO.
  • Attends all pre-function meetings to review all details of the event with Banquet Manager.
  • Communicates feedback from guests and/or associates to the Banquet Manager
  • Is familiar with all food being served at events including preparation, main ingredients, side dishes and garnishes, and any allergies listed. Comfortable asking Chefs any and all allergen related questions. 
  • Handle food items safely in accordance with health regulations/food handling guidelines while serving to guests.
  • Clears each table thoroughly between courses removing soiled silverware and glassware, keeps display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service.
  • Completes quality checks immediately after each course is served.
  • When possible, assists fellow servers to exceed guest expectations as a team.
  • Maintains cleanliness and order of server stations, cleans workstation thoroughly before end of shift.
  • Support the breakdown of events by cleaning up and returning items to their designated locations.
  • Arranges tables and decorations.
  • Completes side tasks as delegated by management.


Qualifications/Requirements:


  • Organization and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Strong work ethic, guest-focused attitude and professional appearance.
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds and stand for at least 8 hours
  • Ability to use serving trays to deliver meals to guests. 
  • Flexibility; working varying shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays, as required.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining individual responsibilities.
  • A background in hospitality or related fields will be considered a plus.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Ability to pass background checks.
