    Job Description

    Job Summary:

    The Bar Supervisor will assist the restaurant manager in overseeing and organizing the day-to-day operations of the Bar, to ensure world-class service, food & beverage offerings and to maximize profits and guest satisfaction through the following:

     

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    • Ensures proper training plans and recipes are created for all Bartenders to set them up for success.
    • Ensures all Bartenders follow IHP and Alabama Responsible Vendor Certifications before service. Checks identification to verify the legal age requirements of customers.

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Works closely with restaurant leaders to ensure Bar achieves a 98 or higher on all health scores.
    • Ensures all products, garnishes, dry goods, and kegs are properly prepared for daily business.
    • Work closely with restaurant leaders on proper ordering of all beverages, non-beverage, and operational supplies.
    • Work with restaurant leaders to schedule all team members in the Bar.
    • Manages inventory and stock levels.
    • Creates and maintains a welcoming and customer-friendly atmosphere.
    • Develop and implement promotions and marketing strategies.
    • Handles customer inquiries and complaints.
    • Maintains cleanliness and organization of the bar area.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Required Skills & Abilities:

    • Strong leadership and communication skills.
    • Excellent customer service skills.
    • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
    • Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
    • Basic Mathematical skills.

    Education & Experience:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • A background in bartending is preferred.
    • Supervisory experience preferred.
    • Ability to complete Responsible Vendor course.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Prolonged periods standing and preparing drinks.
    • Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
    • Must be legal drinking age or older.
