About the Role
We're looking for a friendly, hardworking Barista to join our team and help deliver a great experience for every customer who walks through our doors. This is a full-time role, key to the day-to-day energy of the shop from crafting quality drinks to keeping service fast and welcoming.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service
- Greet and serve customers with warmth and genuine friendliness
- Take orders accurately and efficiently, especially during busy periods
- Handle customer questions or concerns politely, escalating to a manager when needed
Drink Preparation
- Prepare coffee, matcha, chai, and other menu items consistently and to recipe
- Maintain speed and quality during high-volume rushes
- Keep up to date on seasonal or new menu items
Register & Transactions
- Operate the register accurately, handling cash and card transactions smoothly
- Keep transactions moving efficiently to minimize wait times
Cleanliness & Organization
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace throughout each shift, including espresso machines, counters, and outdoor seating area
- Follow proper food safety and sanitation procedures
- Restock supplies (cups, lids, sleeves, napkins, etc.) as needed during shifts
Teamwork
- Work collaboratively with fellow baristas and shop leadership
- Communicate stock shortages, equipment issues, or other concerns to the Assistant Manager
Qualifications
- Prior barista or customer service experience preferred, but not required - training provided
- Friendly, positive attitude with strong communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable and punctual, with flexible availability including mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Comfortable standing for extended periods and handling repetitive tasks
Schedule
Full-time. Exact days and hours to be determined based on shop operating needs.
