Barista

Role Summary:

This position contributes to the success of Think by efficiently providing a high standard of customer service to all patients/customers. This job creates the Think experience for our customers by providing customers with prompt service, quality beverages and products, and maintaining a clean, friendly and comfortable environment. The Café hours are 6:30am - 3:00pm M-F.

Key Responsibilities:

• Practicing excellent customer service, preparing drinks and food items for patients throughout building, maintaining bar cleanliness.
• Ordering supplies, keeping bar stocked with merchandise and food items.
• Accurately using POS and proper cash handling techniques.
• Merchandising, sampling, and selling muffins, cookies and other food items.
• Brewing and maintaining coffee air-pots and shuttles in four key areas; ensuring freshness and replenishing supplies in these areas several times per day.
• Bussing and sanitizing tables, chairs, and bar.
• Displaying knowledge of product, menu, and use of equipment by following prescribed recipes and standard barista techniques; continuing education on how to properly operate equipment.
• Preparing and serving coffee, drinks and food items at the Agora Café
• Greeting everyone, making an emotional connection with customers; helping with menu questions.
• Opening and closing the café.
• Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of barista experience
• Strong customer service background
• Punctual and regular attendance
