POSITION SUMMARY
The barista is responsible for greeting guest, answering their questions, and making helpful suggestions regarding coffee and food choices. The barista is responsible for crafting high-quality beverages following the company drink recipes and procedures. The barista understands the importance of the cleanliness of the coffee shop and following safety standards. The barista must be proficient on a computer and able to run a cash register and count change.

Takes pride in all aspects of work including brewing coffee, running the cash register, and focusing on cleanliness.
Prepares drinks and food with quality in mind by consistently meeting or exceeding guest expectations.

Sensing customer needs and keeping the Coffee Corner Manager informed of needed changes.

REQUIRED REGISTRATION/LICENSE/CERTIFICATION
Must attain SRHC Barista Certification within 90 days of hire

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Lifts, positions, pushes and/or transfers up to 50 pounds
Prolonged, extensive or considerable standing/walking
Considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching
Manual dexterity and mobility
Near acuity: ability to see clearly at 20 inches or less

WORKING CONDITIONS
Exposed to hazards from electrical/mechanical/power equipment
Subject to varying and unpredictable situations
Subject to many interruptions; pressure due to multiple calls, inquires, and/or deadlines
Subject to irregular hours (days, evenings, weekends, holidays)
