Job Summary We are seeking a friendly and outgoing Barista/Cashier to join our team! In this role, you will welcome customers into the coffee shop and prepare their coffee orders. Your goal is to ensure patrons enjoy their drinks and time at our shop. The ideal candidate is passionate about coffee and is willing to go above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Welcome customers into the coffee shop with a smile
Take food and beverage orders
Explain the menu items to customers
Create a variety of espresso-based drinks, from basic to more complex
Enter orders into the POS system with accuracy and efficiency
Bus tables and wipe down surfaces
Maintain a clean work environment
Qualifications:
Familiarity with food safety guidelines
ServSafe or Food Handler’s Certification or ability to obtain shortly after hiring
ServSafe Manager Certification is a bonus, not a necessity.
Excellent customer service skills
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment
Ability to stand for extended periods
Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
