About Ebenezers Coffeehouse
Ebenezers Coffeehouse is a high-volume neighborhood coffeehouse in Washington, DC, serving coffee, espresso drinks, tea, pastries, and hospitality-driven guest experiences. We are looking for dependable, friendly, team-oriented Baristas who care about quality, cleanliness, speed of service, and creating a welcoming café environment.

Position Summary
We are seeking Baristas to join our team in both full-time and part-time roles. This position is responsible for preparing high-quality beverages, serving guests with warmth and efficiency, maintaining a clean and organized café, and supporting daily shop operations.
The ideal candidate is friendly, reliable, coachable, calm under pressure, and excited to learn or grow in specialty coffee.

Compensation
Pay range: $13–$15/hour + tips
Estimated total compensation: $–$/hour including average tips
Final pay will depend on experience, availability, and role fit.

Responsibilities
Prepare and serve espresso drinks, brewed coffee, tea, and other café beverages according to Ebenezers standards.
Take guest orders, process payments, and provide warm, efficient customer service.
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming café environment.
Restock products, cups, lids, syrups, milks, pastries, and service supplies throughout the shift.
Support opening, mid-shift, and closing checklists.
Follow health, food safety, sanitation, and cash-handling procedures.
Work with teammates to keep service moving during busy periods.
Communicate product needs, guest feedback, and operational issues to shift leads or managers.
Represent Ebenezers with professionalism, hospitality, and care.

Qualifications
Previous barista, café, restaurant, retail, or hospitality experience preferred, but not required.
A positive attitude and strong customer service mindset.
Ability to work quickly and accurately in a busy environment.
Willingness to learn coffee, espresso, tea, recipes, and café systems.
Dependability, punctuality, and strong communication skills.
Ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate supplies as needed.
Availability for early mornings, weekends, and holidays preferred.
Team-oriented mindset and willingness to support the full café operation.

Schedule
We are hiring for full-time and part-time roles. Shifts may include early mornings, daytime shifts, weekends, and holidays. Strong morning and weekend availability is preferred.
