COMPANY: The Tabby House Brewing Company HOURS: 8 - 10 hours WORK STATUS: Must work on-site; this is NOT a remote position. POSITION REPORTS TO: General Manager
Responsibilities:
Approach all encounters with guests and associates in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner.
Prepare alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages for bar and restaurant patrons.
Attends to the detail and presentation of each order.
Adheres to proper alcohol handling, sanitation, and safety procedures, and maintains appropriate dating, labeling, and rotation of all beverage items.
Coordinates daily supply inventory for bar and submits orders to supervisor; assists with receipt of deliveries.
Completes cleaning according to daily and weekly schedules, including dishwashing as needed.
Interact with customers, take orders, and serve menu items and drinks.
Plan and present bar menu.
Ensure compliance with all local liquor laws, and health and sanitation regulations.
Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations.
Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets the legal drinking age.
Record and balance cash receipts and prepare cash deposits.
Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.
Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience.
Comply with all food and beverage regulations.
Other tasks or duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays as required.
Ability to deliver an exemplary service level which creates an atmosphere that makes our guests want to return, giving each guest a positive, memorable experience.
Commitment to routinely go above and beyond.
Must be ServeSafe & TIPS Certified.
Must present an image of excitement and enthusiasm, while being able to project a professional appearance and demeanor. Inclusive of professional email and phone etiquette.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
At least 2 years as a Bartender/Mixologist.
Knowledge and Job Skills:
Clear speaking voice
Business/telephone professional
Basic English
Ability to keep the bar organized.
Keep the bar stocked and clean.
A relevant training certificate is a plus.
Education:
High school, some college would be beneficial.
