POSITION SUMMARY

The Beverage Staff play a vital role in delivering an exceptional guest experience by executing beverage service from event setup through teardown. Responsibilities include preparing and serving beverages, maintaining inventory, and ensuring beverage packages are executed efficiently and professionally. Reporting to the Event Manager, this role requires strong attention to detail, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while helping create memorable events.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with clients and guests to address questions or concerns pertaining to beverage services 
• Knowledgeable in venue services, operations, and contract terms to ensure event success 
• Meet with Event Manager to review diagrams, timelines, and vendor contact information
• Greet coordinators and other vendors with welcoming customer service 
• Ensure guest satisfaction and prompt problem resolution
• Onsite for events from bar set-up through to clean up; participation in pre-shift meetings is required
• Remain knowledgeable of local liquor laws
• Maintain quality control throughout service by holding to timeline details
• Efficiently and precisely mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages at fast-paced and high-volume events
• Ensure bar equipment and storage cleanliness prior to and post events
• Review, follow, and discuss detailed event specific BEOs and Passdown Reports provided by Event Manager  
• Support venue team during events with ad hoc tasks to ensure smooth flow of the event, even if outside of the beverage related duties outlined above

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

• 2+ years of bar or restaurant experience preferred; bar or bartending operations preferred
• Appropriate and up-to-date local alcohol certification(s) required
• Availability on nights, weekends and holidays
• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures in alcohol and beverage service for large gatherings 
• Ability to crowd control, and regularly mediate stressful situations, often involving intoxicated guests
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Passion for ensuring customer satisfaction; always being hospitality-minded
• Must be able to perform essential bartending duties 
• Ability to troubleshoot problems with immediate resources, multi-task and delegate
• Must have reliable transportation, cell phone and black clothing for event attire
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time and regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

COMPENSATION:

• Hourly, paid bi-monthly, and eligible for gratuities and overtime 
• The company cannot guarantee the number of hours or events schedule
• Relocation reimbursement is not offered
