Bartender

PRINCIPAL FUNCTION:

This position is responsible for the set up, maintenance and operation of the bar.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Receive drink orders from patrons.
• Mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for patrons following standard recipes. Serve wine and bottled beer or draw draft beer from kegs.
• Ring drink orders into register, collect money from patrons for drinks served and make change.
• Requisition liquors, other beverages and supplies as needed.
• Arrange bottles and glasses to make an attractive display and merchandise drinks.
• May slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks.
• Conform to the regulations of the alcohol beverage authority.
• Implements and enforces sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of bar areas.
• Perform other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as required from time to time.
• Responsible for inventory counts and balancing of the stand sheets at the end of the night.
