Bartender

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced, friendly, and dependable Bartender to join our team. Bartenders are responsible for providing excellent guest service, preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, maintaining a clean and organized bar, and creating a welcoming experience for every guest.

The ideal candidate is confident behind the bar, knowledgeable about beverages, comfortable in a fast-paced environment, and understands the importance of responsible alcohol service and strong guest relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, attentive, and professional service to all guests.
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently.
• Have a strong working knowledge of the bar menu, beer, wine, liquor, cocktails, and available specials.
• Make recommendations and confidently suggest additional beverages and food when appropriate.
• Maintain awareness of guests at the bar and provide prompt service.
• Monitor guest behavior and recognize signs of intoxication.
• Follow all responsible alcohol service policies and applicable laws.
• Never serve alcohol to an intoxicated guest and immediately involve management when necessary.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked bar throughout the shift.
• Properly handle glassware, bar equipment, garnishes, mixers, and other supplies.
• Accurately enter orders and process payments through the POS system.
• Maintain proper cash-handling procedures.
• Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, hosts, and management.
• Prepare the bar for service and complete all opening, closing, and side-work duties.
• Monitor inventory and communicate low-stock items or product needs to management.
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance and follow dress and grooming standards.
• Handle guest questions and concerns professionally and involve management when appropriate.
• Work as part of the team and assist other staff when needed.

Qualifications

• Previous bartending experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work efficiently while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and professional.
• Must be comfortable handling cash and operating a POS system.
• Must meet all applicable age and legal requirements for alcohol service.
• Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
