BAS Controls Technician – Dallas, TX – $30–$45/hr + Benefits – Company Vehicle – HVAC Controls & Automation
About the Opportunity:
A reputable HVAC controls and building automation contractor is looking for an experienced BAS Controls Technician to support ongoing automation projects throughout the Greater Dallas region. This position includes hands-on programming, system start-up, and commissioning of HVAC controls across healthcare, industrial, laboratory, and commercial facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
Program, commission, and start up HVAC control systems—including BACnet-driven platforms
Conduct site readiness checks and ensure projects meet schedule expectations
Collaborate with subcontractors, installers, and project teams to maintain workflow
Participate in weekly production meetings and provide progress updates
Assist controls and mechanical service teams with diagnostics and troubleshooting
Prepare and manage project documentation such as submittals, O&M manuals, and turnover packages
Track job costs, projections, and provide accurate reporting to leadership
Deliver excellent customer service through professional, timely support
Uphold safety guidelines and participate in project review processes
Ideal Candidate:
5+ years of experience installing, servicing, or programming HVAC control systems
Niagara AX or N4 Certification (required)
Background with Distech, Phoenix Controls, Aircuity, or flow-control technologies
Experience with BACnet networks and controls programming (preferred)
Strong communication skills with the ability to take ownership of field tasks
Ability to pass pre-employment background and drug screening
Compensation & Benefits:
Hourly Pay: $30.00 – $45.00/hr (Based on Experience)
