Position Details
Title: BAS Controls Technician
Location: Fort Myers, Florida
Hiring: Mid-level and Senior-level Technicians
Pay: $25.00 – $40.00/hour (based on experience)
Vehicle: Company vehicle or vehicle allowance (varies by role/region)
Key Responsibilities
Install, terminate, calibrate, and troubleshoot BAS field devices, controllers, sensors, relays, and control panels
Conduct point-to-point checkout, device verification, diagnostics, and functional testing
Support system integrations using BACnet, Modbus, and LonWorks communication protocols
Work closely with project managers and controls programmers during commissioning and project closeout
Provide professional on-site service, customer support, and technical assistance
Document all work performed, test results, and system modifications
Ideal Candidate
Experience as a BAS Controls Technician or similar HVAC controls position
Hands-on background with DDC hardware, low-voltage wiring, and device commissioning
Working knowledge of HVAC equipment including AHUs, VAVs, RTUs, chillers, and boilers
Familiarity with BAS protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, and LonWorks
Strong troubleshooting skills and excellent customer-facing communication
Valid driver’s license with ability to travel throughout Southwest Florida
