A growing Building Automation & HVAC Controls contractor is seeking a skilled
BAS Controls Technician to support projects throughout the Providence metro and surrounding Rhode Island region.
This role focuses on installing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and servicing modern DDC/BAS systems in commercial, healthcare, university, and municipal facilities.

About the Role
The Providence region continues to expand in education, healthcare, biotech research, and public-sector infrastructure.
This position offers long-term stability and consistent project demand for experienced BAS professionals.
Key Responsibilities
Install, configure, and commission BAS/DDC control systems
Perform point-to-point verification and functional system testing
Troubleshoot control panels, field devices, and network communication issues
Assist with programming changes, graphics updates, and logic adjustments
Interpret control diagrams, wiring schematics, and sequences of operation
Document commissioning results and maintain accurate service records
Support mechanical contractors, engineers, and end users during project execution
Respond to service calls and provide customer-facing technical support
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experience working as a BAS Controls Technician or HVAC Controls Specialist
Strong troubleshooting ability with BAS/DDC systems
Hands-on experience installing, wiring, and commissioning control components
Familiarity with Tridium, Honeywell, Siemens, Alerton, or Distech systems
Understanding of HVAC equipment (AHUs, boilers, chillers, VAVs, heat pumps)
Clear communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a field team
