    BAS Project Engineer – Hybrid (2 Days Office / 3 Days Remote) – $95K–$120K + Bonus – Leading Building Automation & Energy Controls Firm

The team is seeking a dedicated BAS Project Engineer to assist with the design, programming, and successful delivery of advanced building automation systems used across commercial and mission-critical environments.

    With more than 300 professionals across multiple regional offices, this organization offers a collaborative, growth-oriented workplace with a flexible hybrid model — working 2 days in the office and 3 days remotely each week.

    Position Details

    • Title: BAS Project Engineer
    • Schedule: Hybrid (2 Days in Office / 3 Days Remote)
    • Compensation: $95,000 – $120,000 Base + Bonus Incentives
    • Locations: Jessup, MD | Richmond, VA | Norfolk, VA | Pittsburgh, PA
    • Employment Type: Full-Time

    • BAS Project Engineer
    • BAS Design Engineer
    • BAS Estimator
    • Office-Based BAS Programmer

    Key Responsibilities

    • Design and program DDC/BAS control systems supporting HVAC and energy management applications
    • Develop sequences of operation, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation for project implementation
    • Review vendor submittals and verify engineered bills of material for accuracy
    • Prepare installation packages, submittal documentation, and final as-built drawings
    • Assist with commissioning, graphics development, and end-user system training
    • Provide technical leadership to internal project teams, subcontractors, and client stakeholders
    • Manage multiple active projects, ensuring timelines, scope, and quality requirements are met

    Requirements

    • Hands-on experience with Building Automation and/or HVAC control systems
    • Proficiency with DDC, PLC, or similar programming environments
    • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, or related engineering tools
    • Strong documentation, communication, and organizational capabilities
    • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment
