Description
Controls Project Manager – Greater Queens, NY Area
Lead and Deliver High-Impact Building Automation Projects
We’re looking for an experienced Controls Project Manager to take ownership of complex
building automation and temperature control projects across the Greater Queens area.

Position Details:
Title: Controls Project Manager
Location: Long Island City / Greater Queens, NY
Salary: $90,000–$125,000 (DOE)
Status: Full-Time | On-Site | No Overtime Required
Ideal Candidate:
3–10+ years of experience managing Building Automation or DDC projects
Background in BAS project management or related HVAC/controls project leadership
Strong planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution capabilities
Working knowledge of Visio is a plus
Excellent communication and field coordination skills
Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and oversee field teams
Experience reviewing contract scopes and generating RFIs
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
Key Responsibilities:
Lead all phases of building automation project delivery from kickoff to closeout
Manage procurement, equipment orders, and change order processing
Conduct jobsite inspections and ensure installation aligns with project requirements
Create and maintain detailed project schedules and action plans
Supervise subcontractors and field technicians; set expectations and monitor job progress
Maintain regular on-site presence to ensure alignment and timely delivery
Participate in pre-book reviews and oversee project documentation
Prepare for and attend turnover meetings, pre-bid meetings, and project progress reviews
Ensure timely project completion, final deliverables, and closeout packages
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary: $90,000–$125,000 (DOE)
