Required Skills and Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in HVAC, electronics, or a related field preferred.
Minimum 3 years of experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS) or related control systems.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control logic.
Hands-on experience with BAS platforms, including Allen-Bradley PLCs, Alerton, Distech, Tridium Niagara, Johnson Controls Metasys, Honeywell, and Siemens Desigo.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to multiple job sites.
Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, communication, and documentation skills.
Associate degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, HVAC Technology, or a related field.
BAS or controls certifications, such as NATE or BACnet.
Knowledge of BACnet, Modbus, and LonWorks protocols.
Experience with energy management systems and sustainability practices.
Proficiency in diagnostic software and Microsoft Office.

Major Responsibilities
Install, configure, and calibrate BAS hardware and software.
Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
Troubleshoot system faults and resolve technical issues.
Support BAS upgrades, modifications, and system improvements.
Maintain accurate service records, system configurations, and maintenance logs.
Provide technical support and training to end users and junior technicians.
Follow applicable safety regulations, codes, and company policies.
Key Hiring Priorities
Minimum 3 years of BAS or controls experience.
Hands-on troubleshooting and installation experience.
Practical knowledge of BAS platforms and HVAC control systems.
