Position OverviewTo support the Summit Bechtel Reserve through exceptional facility care, logistical coordination, and residential services that enable safe, clean, and welcoming environments for all programs, guests, and staff.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee Base Camp daily operations, staff supervision, and departmental asset managementAssist with hiring, onboarding, and scheduling of Base Camp staffSet up and manage Base Camp HQ, seasonal offices, and Staff Camp logisticsMaintain camp cleanliness, supply inventory, and proper waste disposal proceduresEnforce safety protocols and ensure proper use of vehicles and equipmentSupport smooth arrival/departure operations and provide responsive service to all guests and staff.Model the Scout Oath and Law in daily interactionsMaintain a clean, organized, inspected, neat, and safe work areaPerform additional duties assigned by SBR leadershipAbide by policies and procedures outlined in the SBR staff handbookQualificationsMinimum age: 18+Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to obtain Summit Driving PermitRequired 2+ yr. leading teams, prefer 2+ Summit employmentPreferred: Scouting/Camping experienceWilling to become a registered Scouting America member (includes background screening)Comfortable using Microsoft Teams for daily work-related communicationPhysical & Practical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, and hike up to 9 hours daily and ability to lift/move up to 50 poundsComplete the Annual Health and Medical Record, including height/weight guidelinesHousing: 10'x12' platform tent in Staff Camp | Uniform: Summit Staff Uniform | Work Hours: 45-55Desired TraitsHigh emotional intelligence (such as self/social awareness and team dynamics)Positive and cheerful attitude with a strong customer-service focusAdaptability in a fast-paced environment with ability to learn/develop hard and soft skillsAbility to connect with individuals from diverse age groups, maturity, and backgrounds
