BD Manager for Steel Erection Contractors

Grow revenue for an AISC-certified Michigan steel erector by securing large Midwest projects of 5,000+ tons. This permanent full-time Business Development Manager role pays $100,000-$200,000 per annum plus bonus incentives and requires Midwest travel.

Key responsibilities

• Source and advance steel erection pursuits with owners and general contractors region-wide
• Shape capture plans for large structural steel erection scopes of 5,000+ tons
• Monitor bidding windows, competitor moves, and Midwest project forecasts
• Represent an AISC-certified Michigan erector in face-to-face client engagement
• Travel across the Midwest to nurture accounts and support live pursuits

Requirements

• Background in business development or construction sales within steel erection or structural steel
• Comfort operating on Midwest projects of substantial tonnage
• GC, fabricator, or owner contacts preferred but not required
• Willingness to travel Midwest-wide
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and close opportunities
