The Opportunity:

This continued success has created a need for a BDA Fire Alarm Technician to work out of our Wall, NJ location.

 

Here's a glimpse of some of the responsibilities:

  • Test and install Bi-Directional Amplifier (BDA) and Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) to enhance emergency responder radio coverage in buildings.

  • Integrate BDA systems with Fire Alarm Control Panels (FACP) and ensure proper signaling and compliance.

  • Read and interpret construction documents, wiring diagrams, and equipment specifications.

  • Maintain up-to-date records and documentation related to project activities and progress.

  • Coordinate with general contractors, project managers, and inspectors.

What You Bring to the Table:
  • Minimum three years of experience installing, servicing, or maintaining fire alarm and/or BDA systems
  • High school diploma or equivalent; trade school or technical training preferred 
  • Extensive knowledge of NFPA 72, NEC, Fire Alarm System Theory, OSHA Requirements, and Industry Standards for Fire Alarm systems installation
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, riser diagrams, and system schematics
  • Experience working with a variety of fire alarm manufacturers and systems, including Gamewell-FCI, Siemens, Notifier, Edwards, Simplex, Honeywell, Fire-Lite, and similar platforms
  • Solid technical aptitude and attention to detail when installing, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining fire alarm and BDA system components
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills for service documentation, inspection reports, customer interactions, and communication with team members
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage your time effectively in a field-based role
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to safely lift and carry 50+ pounds
  • Comfortable working on ladders, lifts, and in confined spaces
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather and environmental conditions

Salary commensurate with experience with opportunity for a results-driven bonus based on personal output and effectiveness in role. Expected hourly range between $30 - $50 per hour.
