Job Description

We are seeking vigilant and responsible Beach Guards to ensure the safety and well-being of visitors at our beautiful Point Pleasant beaches. The ideal candidates will be dedicated to maintaining a safe environment, preventing accidents, and responding promptly to emergencies.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor beach and water activities to ensure the safety of all visitors.
• Enforce beach rules and regulations to maintain order and safety.
• Perform rescues and administer first aid or CPR when necessary.
• Communicate effectively with beachgoers and team members.
• Maintain vigilance and readiness throughout assigned shifts.
• Report any hazards or incidents to the appropriate authorities.

Required Skills

• Strong swimming skills and physical fitness.
• Ability to stay alert and focused for extended periods.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of lifesaving techniques and first aid.
• Ability to remain calm and act quickly in emergency situations.
• Valid Lifeguard (L) certification or equivalent.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Current Lifeguard certification (L) required.
• Previous experience as a beach or pool lifeguard is a plus.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
